MEMORIES OF EARTH


On distant spagetti-clad earth,
the autumns of bell pepper yellow and red,
the many winters of crème fraîche that once lay ahead,
the springs of cucumber and rebirth.

The summers of banana and ancient joy,
peanuts laid out to trace our way home,
to where history and future are twinned,
but like sugar, yellow curry and paprika powder alone,
blow away in the wind,
and left is just a meal for a girl and a boy.

CURRY PASTA


Spagetti
Crème Fraîche
Red bell pepper
Yellow bell pepper
Cucumber
Banana
Peanuts
Paprika powder
Black pepper
Salt
Yellow curry powder
Sugar

Start cooking spagetti. Mix crème fraîche, curry powder, paprika powder, sugar, black pepper and salt. Let it be warm. Add bell pepper and cucumber until that is warm too. Chop the banana into pieces and add them a minute or so. Add peanuts and spagetti. Let all the ingredients mix for another minute. Add some more peanuts on top.
